#12486 SUMMARY: Mr. Peters is a Professional Engineer
experienced in all facets of municipal water and wastewater treatment
planning and design including master planning, feasibility studies,
preliminary designs, final designs and construction management services. EXPERIENCE: Project
Manager for a variety of tasks for the Pinery Water & Wastewater
District. Projects included a Water
Master Plan, Wastewater Master Plan, and Well, Pump Station, and Pipeline
Design. The Pinery is a rapidly
growing community southeast of Denver.
Master planning of the water and wastewater systems provided the
Pinery with a blueprint to deal with their rapid growth and also addressed
how the Pinery could serve as a regional entity for neighboring developments
and towns. Recommendations from the
Water Master Plan resulted in the drilling of additional wells and installation
of additional distribution pump stations and pipelines. Recommendations from the Wastewater Master
Plan include expanding the existing nutrient removal facility to provide
additional capacity, adding UV disinfection, and making improvements to the
collection system. Project Manager for the City of Fort
Collins, Colorado Miscellaneous Water Reclamation Facility Improvements. This work included a variety of tasks
including increasing the return activated sludge flows to the aeration
basins; adding energy dissipation inlets and density current baffles in the
final clarifiers; adding a sludge press to screen primary sludge prior to
digestion; pump station modifications; and expanding facilities at the City’s
solids handling facility. Project Manager for the City of Fort Collins,
Colorado Master Plan Update. This
project required revisiting the existing 10-year old master plan and
providing new recommendations to address changes in growth patterns and
demographics. As part of this work the
City’s wastewater treatment plants were “stress tested” to determine if the
facilities could be re-rated to a higher capacity. Additionally, long-term expansion
alternatives were developed for both the WWTP’s and the solids beneficial
reuse facilities at the Meadow Springs Ranch. |
